Exercise Concerns
After repair, normal physical activity may be pursued as long as pulmonary artery blood pressure remains acceptably low. However, restrictions in exercise will be necessary if there is pulmonary hypertension, and/or if there is an untreated arrhythmia.
Anyone with congenital heart disease, repaired or non-repaired, should consult with their cardiologist about physical activity to review the risks. |
